On August 7,Jason Matthews,a starter for the Boston Beaneaters,entered the hotel room with roommate
Kevin Nixon after a game. About 20 minutes after they entered the room,the phone started to ring. Jason picked it up. It was
his mother-in-law.She told him that his wife,Olivia Wilde,was in labor. Knowing that he couldn't miss the birth of his first
child,Jason called up Matt (the Beaneaters' manager) and asked him if he could catch the next flight to Chicago so he could
be there with his wife. Matt said that it was ok.Jason arrived at the hospital with a lot of time to spare. 17 hours later,his
wife gave birth to a healthy boy that they named James Collin Matthews.When Jason arrived at the Beanpot on August 9,he was
congratulated by all his teammates. That day he also had a game. He pitched 7.1 innings,giving up 1 run and striking out 4
Philadephia Treshers batters. "I'm the happiest person in the world right now.I'm in a great team,I have a great wife and
now a beautifull kid.Couldn't have asked for a better life."
